The City of White Bear Lake is located about 20 minutes north of St. Paul and covers 10 square miles. There are about 26,000 people who make their home here. The residents of White Bear Lake have a great deal of pride in their community. White Bear Lake is a family-oriented community with a dynamic business district, bustling downtown, enjoyable parks and trail systems and beautiful residential areas. White Bear Lake was incorporated more than 125 years ago and became a full-service freestanding city before it became a suburb. It is steep with tradition and the City endeavors to reflect the values of its citizens. It is a community filled with small-town charm and big-city attractions.

The jewel of our community is White Bear Lake, a sparkling clean 2,500-acre body of water covering 10 square miles. Residents and visitors alike enjoy fishing, boating, sailing and swimming in its pristine waters. Pontoon and boat rentals are also available on White Bear Lake at Tally's Dockside.

Summer celebrations such as Manitou Days, Marketfest and Farmers' Market add to the excitement in White Bear Lake. Relive the fun of days past by watching the Manitou Days Parade, or live it up at the Beach Dance or build the world's greatest sandcastle at Ramsey Beach. You could play a round of golf at Oneka Ridge Golf Course or take a jog along the beautiful Lake Avenue where the homes are rich in history. For a more relaxing pace, you can pick your own strawberries at Pine Tree Apple Orchard, stroll the cobblestone streets of the charming downtown, listen to live music at a variety of restaurants and pubs, or walk the woodchip trails of Tamarack Nature Center.
Indoor activities are equally entertaining. White Bear Lake features a wide variety of excellent restaurants, specialty shops, art galleries, sport venues, and movie theaters.
