Because Minnesota is home to approximately 25,000 licensed real estate agents, it can seem like an overwhelming process to locate the perfect one. Luckily, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, Twin Cities Business, and Crescendo Business Services (a market research company based in Eagan), have done the work for you. They have all teamed up for the sixth year to compile this year’s list of Super Real Estate Agents, a title designated to fewer than 4% of all licensed real estate agents in Minnesota. Here’s how the survey was conducted:
- More than 108,000 surveys were sent to recent home buyers, subscribers of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business, mortgage and title companies, and 2007 Super Real Estate Agents who were asked to nominate an agent, either with paper ballots, over the phone, or online.
- Those polled were asked to grade real estate agents using eight criteria: communication, integrity, market knowledge, negotiation, finding the right home, marketing of home, closing preparation, and overall satisfaction. Sales volume did not play a role in the selection process.
- More than 550,000 pieces of data were used to select the final list of agents, who were then checked against the State of Minnesota database for disciplinary actions.
- A panel of real estate industry leaders reviewed the list, and their comments and suggestions were used to determine the final list of Super Real Estate Agents. Of the final list of agents, Cheryl Brenna is one of only 76 six-time winners.
